english story moral

I am not very good in math or science and my brain never stops being frustrated with itself. However, I like to learn new things, especially when they are fun.I can't help to keep looking for funny stories on Reddit and find them on here. Sometimes, you just need something light and happy to wake up your stupid little mind. Today, as I'm playing with my dog (which usually likes playing games with me), I came across this one: "The Tortoise and the Hare" by E. L. Doctorow. It's a short story which tells us that people will be nice to animals sometimes. Although it may seem childish by some standards, this story has so much truth and it's hilarious story.

The tortoise who was quite wise had said:

“Now, if he were only a bit less hasty, he might have turned out more pleasant. For the most part. He was no fool. In fact, he would have been more careful. If one thing went wrong, it would probably be him. And then he would regret his haste for years to come."

It was said that the tortoise had always been kinder than others. No matter what happened, he always saw things from another angle. He thought deeply and carefully, and the result was always beautiful. When all the roads seemed blocked, he began to think of the simplest way through. After that, he could have a change his fate at any moment. Then a man, who was named Pluto, came into sight of things from a different direction. But Pluto did not expect such a creature from heaven. Even in the end, he could not have known that his life was saved in this world. Now, how should the tortoise react? Should he go back to Hades, where he belonged? Or should he try to take revenge and kill him after he heard him? Finally, he decided to go somewhere else and see what lies ahead. He left his son alone and went outside under night and looked very closely. What he saw was enough for him to know that his life was in danger. As he left, Zeus appeared before them all. Because of their ignorance and arrogance, he had decided to punish those who did not behave properly. They thought as if everything was right, but what actually existed lied beneath their feet. Those who were cruel could not even admit that their pride could affect them and that the sky was full of evil. Just as they had never realized, their arrogance led them to this pit. Their pride was so big that they were too arrogant to believe that the sky is full of darkness. So they believed that whatever went beyond the horizon cannot exist. When they were going after Hermes, they found themselves alone. A ray of sunlight came out of nowhere and blinded them. Suddenly, a voice suddenly said: “Look up! Everything that you see must come from above, so let's do that! Let's look down upon our heads and make sure we're not seeing anything else!” This was Athena, the guardian of knowledge. Without knowing, she came down from Olympus to tell them what happened. She also told them that they should be proud of their intelligence and courage and that everyone should strive for wisdom. These words were said by her for the first time in history and it changed mankind forever. The sun came up again and the clouds flew far away. Hermes became silent because the old hero was listening. Athena also gave a warning, saying: “Don't be angry; remember that the gods know, too, you have many good friends who are watching over your life. You must be strong and courageous and smart. Don't hesitate to say goodbye with dignity. That's worth fighting for!"

So, these two words became the golden touch of Midas and made him go crazy. Some people, being ignorant, believed that they really knew nothing. However, if these words were said by Athena, it would certainly change the future and bring many wonderful things.
